My Walk Through the Book of Matthew by Annette Godtland

Foreword

I recently finished a walk through the Book of Mark. An effort that started out as something to try, has turned out to be my favorite way to start my day. Reading the Bible and daily discovering the good news meant for me starts my day in a wonderful way. A couple things I got out of my daily reading that I hadn't expected were some of the many surprises that I had never noticed before and the very human side I saw in Jesus. When I finished the Book of Mark, I couldn't wait to get started on another book. I have found that there is so much to discover in the Bible.

What I have written here are just my thoughts and reactions to what I read in the scriptures. I do not claim to have any expert knowledge of the Bible. Most of my comments are simply based on what I am reading right now. I believe what each of us gets out of reading the Bible is a very personal message from God. Others will get different messages. Neither are right nor wrong, but what God wants for each of us to understand at the moment. I hope God continues to give me these wonderful messages as I now continue my study through the Book of Matthew.

All scripture in this writing was copied from the New King James version of the Bible, found on the web site:

I frequently mention footnotes in my Bible. The Bible I am referring to is the Spirit Filled Life Bible, New King James Version.
