Primary, For Me
Micah 6:8
He has told you O mortal, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you
but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?
Matthew 22:37-40
He said to him, "'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.'
This is the greatest and first commandment.
And a second is like it: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.'
On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets."
Luke 10:25-37
Just then a lawyer stood up to test Jesus. “Teacher,” he said, “what must I do to inherit eternal life?”
He said to him, “What is written in the law? What do you read there?”
He answered, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul,
and with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself.”
And he said to him, “You have given the right answer; do this, and you will live.”
But wanting to justify himself, he asked Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?”
Jesus replied, “A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell into the hands of robbers,
who stripped him, beat him, and went away, leaving him half dead.
Now by chance a priest was going down that road; and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side.
So likewise a Levite, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side.
But a Samaritan while traveling came near him; and when he saw him, he was moved with pity.
He went to him and bandaged his wounds, having poured oil and wine on them.
Then he put him on his own animal, brought him to an inn, and took care of him.
The next day he took out two denarii, gave them to the innkeeper,
and said, ‘Take care of him; and when I come back, I will repay you whatever more you spend.’
Which of these three, do you think, was a neighbor to the man who fell into the hands of the robbers?”
He said, “The one who showed him mercy.” Jesus said to him, “Go and do likewise.”
Luke 12:48b
"From everyone to whom much has been given, much will be required;"
John 3:16-17
"For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes
in him may not perish but may have eternal life. Indeed, God did not send the Son into the
world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him."
Ephesians 2:8-10
For by grace you have been saved through faith,
and this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God -
not the result of works, so that no one may boast.
For we are what he has made us, created in Christ Jesus
for good works, which God prepared beforehand to be our
way of life.
Philippians 4:4-7
Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice.
Let your gentleness be known to everyone. The Lord is near.
Do not worry about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication
with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.
And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts
and your minds in Christ Jesus.
1 John 4:8
Whoever does not love does not know God, for God is love.
Supporting, Enriching
Leviticus 19:34
The alien who resides with you shall be to you
as the citizen among you; you shall love the alien as yourself,
for you were aliens in the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God.
Joshua 1:9b
Be strong and courageous;
do not be frightened or dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you
wherever you go.
Psalm 46:10a
Be still, and know that I am God!
Proverbs 3:3-6,9
Do not let loyalty and faithfulness forsake you;
bind them about your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart.
So you will find favor and good repute in the sight of God and of people.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own insight.
In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. ...
Honor the Lord with your substance and with the first fruits of all your
produce;
Ecclesiastes 3:1,11,14
For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven: ...
He has made everything suitable for its time; moreover he has put a sense of
past and future into their minds, yet they cannot find out what God has done from the
beginning to the end. ...
I know that whatever God does endures forever; nothing can be added to it, nor
anything taken from it; God has done this, so that all should stand in awe
before him.
Ecclesiastes 12:13b-14
Fear God, and keep his commandments; for this is the whole duty of everyone.
For God will bring every deed into judgment, including every secret thing,
whether good or evil.
Isaiah 43:1b-2a
Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine.
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you;
Isaiah 55:8-9
For my thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways my ways, says the Lord.
For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts.
Matthew 18:18
"Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven,
and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven."

"Do to others as you would have them do to you."
Luke 12:6-7
"Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten
in God's sight. But even the hairs of your head are all counted. Do not be afraid;
you are of more value than many sparrows."
Luke 12:11-12
"When they bring you before the synagogues, the rulers, and the
authorities, do not worry about how you are to defend yourselves or what you are
to say; for the Holy Spirit will teach you in that very hour what you ought to
say."
Luke 12:25-31
"And can any of you by worrying add a single hour to your span of life?
If then you are not able to do so small a thing as that, why do you worry
about the rest? Consider the lilies, how they grow; they neither toil nor spin;
yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not clothed like one of these.
But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which is alive today and
tomorrow is thrown into the oven, how much more will he clothe you-you of
little faith! And do not keep striving for what you are to eat and what you
are to drink, and do not keep worrying.
For it is the nations of the world that strive after all these things; and
your Father knows that you need them. Instead, strive for his kingdom, and these
things will be given to you as well."
Luke 16:10
"Whoever is faithful in a very little is faithful also in much; and whoever is
dishonest in a very little is dishonest also in much."
Luke 17:1b-4
"Occasions for stumbling are sure to come; but woe to anyone by whom they come!
It would be better for you if a millstone were hung around your neck and you were
thrown into the sea, than for you to cause one of these little ones to stumble.
Be on your guard! If another disciple sins, you must rebuke the offender, and if
there is repentance, you must forgive. And if the same person sins against you
seven times a day, and turns back to you seven times and says 'I repent,' you
must forgive."
Luke 17:6b
"If you had faith the size of a mustard seed, you could say to this mulberry
tree, 'Be uprooted and planted in the sea,' and it would obey you."
John 8:31b-32
"If you continue in my word, you are truly my disciples; and you will know the truth,
and the truth will set you free."
John 13:34-35
"I give you a new commandment, that you love one another.
Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another.
By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

for in passing judgment upon another you condemn yourself, because you, the judge,
are doing the very same things.
Romans 3:22b-25a
For there is no distinction, since all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God;
they are now justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption
that is in Christ Jesus,
whom God put forward as a sacrifice of atonement by his blood, effective through faith.
Romans 8:38-39
For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities,
nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth,
nor any other created thing,
will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 14:17-19

in the Holy Spirit.
The one who thus serves Christ is acceptable to God and has human approval.
Let us then pursue what makes for peace and for mutual upbuilding.
1 Corinthians 4:7b
What do you have that you did not receive?
And if you received it, why do you boast as if it were not a gift?
1 Corinthians 6:19-20
Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, which
you have from God and that you are not your own? For you were bought with a price;
therefore glorify God in your body.
1 Corinthians 8:2-3
Anyone who claims to know something does not yet have the necessary knowledge;
but anyone who loves God is known by him.
1 Corinthians 13:4-13
Love is patient; love is kind; love is not envious or boastful or arrogant
or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or
resentful; it does not rejoice in wrongdoing, but rejoices in the truth.
It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all
things.
Love never ends. But as for prophecies, they will come to an end; as for
tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will come to an end.
For we know only in part, and we prophecy only in part;
but when the complete comes, the partial will come to an end. When I was child, I
spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child; when I
became an adult, I put an end to childish ways. For now we see in a mirror, dimly,
but then we will see face to face. Now I know only in part; then I will know
fully, even as I have been fully known.
And now faith, hope, love abide, these three; and the greatest of these is love.
Ephesians 4:26-27,29
Be angry but do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, and do not
make room for the devil. ...
Let no evil talk come out of your mouths, but only what is useful for building
up, as there is need, so that your words may give grace to those who hear.
Philippians 2:3-5
Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility regard others
as better than yourselves.
Let each of you look not to your own interests, but to the interests of others.
Let the same mind be in you that was in Christ Jesus,
Colossians 1:20
and through him God was pleased to reconcile to himself all things,
whether on earth or in heaven, by making peace through the blood of his cross.
Hebrews 11:1,3
Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not
seen. ... By faith we understand that the worlds were prepared by the word of God,
so that what is seen was made out of things that are not visible.
Hebrews 13:8
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.

You must understand this, my beloved: let everyone be quick to listen, slow to speak,
slow to anger; for your anger does not produce God's righteousness.
James 3:13 & 17
Who is wise and understanding among you?
Show by your good life that your works are done with gentleness born of wisdom.
... the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield,
full of mercy and good fruits, without a trace of partiality or hypocrisy.
James 4:17
Anyone, then, who knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, commits sin.
